Q : I have not received my books?
A : A: The books that are available from Militaryfocus.com are serviced through a number of large secure and reliable stores bookstores like Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble, Abebooks, etc. At Militaryfocus.com you will find the links to these wonderful books but all orders are placed with the major bookstores. If you have ordered a book at one of these major stores please contact the store itself to find out the progress of your order. I am sure that they will be more than happy to help. :)

Q : I have been looking for some of the early books but I can't seem to find them?
A : The very first Osprey books came out in the early 1970s and so some of the earlier numbers have been out of print for almost 30 years. The good news is that in 2001 Osprey Publishing did a reprinting of some of these very early out-of-print titles. So what you are looking for may have been republished recently (within the last couple of years).
What I would suggest is try some of the different bookstores - you maybe surprised. You will find at the bottom of each page a link for that book to the different bookstores, if the book is there it will come up, otherwise not. Sometimes one bookstore has the book while others don't. You just have to click the links to find out who has what, and at what price.
Take a look at these bookstores they are excellent. They offer both new books and used books. Some of these bookstores having second hand market places where you can find these books - sometimes in *mint condition*. As Osprey Publishing is a UK based company it is worthwhile checking out the UK bookstores, as well, if your favourite US bookstore is temporarily out of stock.
Q : What do MTO, ETO, CBI stand for?
A : Mediterranean Theatre of Operations, European Theatre of Operations, and the China, India & Burma theatre.
Q : How do I contact the publisher of these books?
A : Militaryfocus.com is not associated in any way with the publisher of these fine sets of books. Militaryfocus.com exists to provide information, book pricing and availability details, content details and reviews on the complete range of Osprey military publications that are both In-Print and Out-of-Print.
If you would like to contact the publisher of these books to obtain their latest publications, in-stock books lists or for any other matter - we direct you to their excellent website at;
Q : I have a website, I want to optimize the pages and promote the site to the Internet search engines, how do I do that?
A : There are a number of different and separate issues here.
1. Tutorials on HTML which I found useful are listed below. This tutorial will allow you to create web pages and understand what all the HTML tags mean.
Maricopa Center for Learning and Instruction
2. Optimization for the search engines themselves is covered by the site below. This provides some interesting reading on what works and what does not. They have a subscription e-mail service and an archive of past posts. However what you should be looking towards is 'content' and the more the better.
SiteProNews
3. A listing of most of the Internet search engines is given below. Most search engines have their own submission page. However some sites will allow you to submit a web page once to them and they re-submit it to multiple search engines. They can save you a lot of time.
Rossco's WWW Corner
HitStalk
TrafficZap
4. Next we have what is called 'Pay per Click' (PPC) advertizing. What they do is place the paying advertizers (ie you) at the top of the search results or place them side by side with the top search results. Here you pay (10 cents [+] a click) to be listed at the top of all searches for the phase (ie), 'korean war pilots'. Again there are multiple providers, start by taking a look at the following.
Overture
Google Adwords
